ISLAND KRK
This the largest island of the Kvarner bay with a long and eventful history visible in innumerable cultural and historical monuments such as mosaics of Roman hot springs, old Croatian churches, Glagoliti monuments and paintings of the Venetians masters. All these monuments bring back the feeling of old and glorious times.
The island of Krk, beyond its cultural inheritance, offers many beaches, pleasant hidden bays and other surprises such as a rocky coast that falls upon the limpid and crystalline sea. If you become acquainted with the inhabitants of the island, you will be able to convince yourselves of their well-known hospitality. Lovers of good wine will be able to visit the place "Vrbnik", where the typical white wine of the zone "Vrbnicka Zlahtina" is produced; one of the best Croatian wines and which can be tasted in the wine cellar together with the high-quality sheep’s cheese and native smoked ham. “Vrbnik” is situated on a cliff with views of the mountains and the town of Crikvenica. Lovers of the beach will find this their ideal place, with the most limpid sea, in one of the vacation centres of the coast such as Njivice, Malinska, Krk and Baska.
KRK
The several centuries old city of Krk is the capital of the largest Adriatic island of the same name. It’s most characteristic feature is the historical town centre, encircled by its ancient   Roman walls and dominated by the high Roman bell tower. The City promenade (Riva) is also very beautiful and this is where locals and tourists meet and come into contact. To our city you come as a guest, but you go home as a friend of this city and their inhabitants. The inhabitants, always kind and available, will offer you their gastronomic specialities. Hospitability has a long history in Krk and the ancient Romans spoke of the "magnificent city of Krk" (Splendissima Civitas Curictarum).
