Bol, with its isolated position on the southern coast of the island of Brac, is not only the most ancient town on the island but is also one of the most famous destinations on the Adriatic Sea. The town is rich with historical monuments and magnificent natural scenery. Its most famous beach, the “Golden Horn” is recognized as the most beautiful beach on the Adriatic. This beach is a unique phenomenon of nature; it looks like a pebble tongue in the sea which turns its end to the left or to the right dependent on the wind and the current of the sea water. At the back of Bol there is the highest hill in all the Adriatic islands – Vidova Gora.
