Stari Grad ( Hvar)
Stari Grad, the ferryboat port of the island of Hvar, is situated on the north-eastern coast of the island of Hvar. The town, once the capital of the island, has a lot of historical monuments and today is an important tourist resort with numerous bays with charming beaches. The various structures such as hotels, apartments and bungalows, the interesting gastronomic facilities with fish specialities and the sports facilities (tennis, basketball, soccer, water sports, scuba diving) attract every year more and more tourists to this 2000 year old town. Excursions: the islands “Pakleni otoci ", the cave Grapcev, the islands Scedro and Zecevo, visits to the towns of Split, Trogir, Solin, Dubrovnik, the “National park Krka”, the “Blue cave” on the island Bisevo etc.
