SKRADIN
Skradin is situated on the right bank of the Krka River. Initially inhabited by the Illiri, it then passed into Roman administration. Today it is a place where the inhabitants live off peaches, agriculture and tourism, with its uncontaminated nature and the wonderful waterfalls of the Krka River.
You will be able to take a walk around the streets in the centre and to stop by the numerous small market stalls, distributed around the St. Maria church from the XVIII century,  to bathe in the crystalline waters of the Krka river or to taste the typical gastronomic specialties of the region (above all the trout, prepared in various ways and accompanied by typical local wines).
Excursions available: walks in the national Park of waterfalls of the Krka River, to climb up to the waterfall Roski Slap in a boat, visit the famous flour mills and the monastery on the island of Visovac.  Sibenik is 16 km distant. The cities of Trogir and Split, with its Diocletian Palace, inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List, are recommended for all culture lovers. The singular island world of the national park of Kornati, the fortress towns Drnis and Knin, the Plitvice Lakes National Park and many other surprises await you in this region.
