VODICE
This town rests in a gulf, 13 km to the north of Sibenik. The town was mentioned for the first time in a document in the year 1402. Since then this former fishing village became a popular holiday place with various hotels, holiday areas, holiday homes and private houses. In the port there are numerous souvenir stalls and restaurants that offer the typical fish specialties of the area. Of cultural-historical importance are the gothic church “Sveti Kriz” from the year 1421, the Coric tower from the XVI century and the parochial church "Sveti Kriz" from the second half of the XVIII century.
At various times during the day a ferry boat connects Vodice to the city of Sibenik, with stops on the islands of Prvic and Zlarin. Vodice is the departure point for diving trips, in order to admire the wonderful flora and the marine fauna which is protected thanks to the vicinity of the national Park of the Kornati islands.
Excursions available: visit to the national Park of waterfalls of the Krka river, the national park Paklenica, Plitvice lakes and the Kornati islands, visits to the cities of Zadar, Sibenik, Split and Trogir.
