After Captain Marin had bought the MS Sveti Vid in autumn 2016, he was looking for a buyer for his Otac Luka – with which he crossed the Adriatic Sea for eleven years… who would look after the ship just as he did, and with whom the guests would feel just as comfortable. He found what he was looking for at the family Fumić from Mandre on the island of Pag. The family is engaged in fishing and sheep breeding, while son Niko worked on another ship of our fleet during the summer time. Now Niko is the proud owner of his own ship, on which he first took care of the well-being of his guests as a sailor and steward in the 2017 season. He knows the islands of the Kvarner Bay and Northern Dalmatia like the back of his hand, speaks fluent English, and in the winter of 2017/2018 completed a beginner's course in German. In the meantime, Niko has successfully passed the exam for the captain's patent, and after two summers of practice he finally took over the helm himself in 2019. For the 2019 season he gave the Otac Luka a completely new deck, made of precious teak.
