The Poseidon – the former flagship of the Seeadler company – is one of the pioneers of cruising on classic motor sailers. When Captain Toni Gulić built the Poseidon in 1973, it was the first ship ever to be designed specifically for pirate cruises, rather than a converted cargo sailer. After his son Kristijan initially actively assisted him for years, he took over the helm from his father years ago while Toni enjoyed his well-deserved retirement on the island of Rab. In the summer of 2016, Kristijan decided to buy a bigger ship – MS Maček. In the following years, the Poseidon was led by changing captains until Antonio Komuczki decided to take over the Poseidon in autumn 2021. Continuing the long tradition of captains from the island of Rab, Antonio graduated from the renowned nautical school in Bakar, then sailed the world's oceans for several years on cargo ships and tankers and worked as a sailor on excursion ships. He was a sailor and helmsman on our MS Sagena for four years before buying the MS Zelenbor in 2019, which means he now has seven years of holiday cruising experience under his belt. From the 2022 season, Antonio will be captain and host on the Poseidon, while his brother-in-law Siniša will replace him on the Zelenbor.
