Description

The Vila, with her length of 20 meters and only eight cabins, belongs to the smaller vessels of the “Riva-Fleet”, and is as such an ideal boat for smaller groups or families. A common statement which we hear from many guests is: “Big enough to offer us the comfort we need, but also small enough to sail into the most beautiful bays”. The past 46 years, the Kordić family from Supetarska Draga on the Island of Rab owned the MS Vila, who was purchased in 1968 by father Josip. The last eight years, Josip’s son Joško used to steer the Vila, until he bought the beautiful wooden vessel Sagena in summer 2014. While Joško is sailing with MS Sagena from Zadar, MS Vila is available as usual for cruises departing from Rijeka. Her new captain Kristian Gerdević was born and raised on the island of Rab and he knows every single tiny island, every reef and every cove of the Kvarner Bay. An insiders’ tip for boat-charter groups is a visit to the former prison islands Goli Otok and Sveti Grgur, located between the islands of Krk and Rab. Just imagine your boat anchoring in a small quiet bay of a deserted island, you are sitting on the beach enjoying the sound of the waves and you can smell the odour of fresh roasted lamb. All this together will make a very special and unforgettable atmosphere you will for sure remember for a long time…

The airport is located 30 kilometres outside Rijeka on the island of Krk. The city centre is close to the harbour and offers fantastic shopping opportunities, plus a number of cultural monuments and many places of interest. There is plenty of evening entertainment along the harbour road, the “Riva”.
