Description

Route:
Zadar – Island of Molat – Island of Zverinac – Island of Dugi Otok – Telašćica Nature Park – Kornati Islands National Park – Šibenik – Krka Waterfalls – Vodice – Island of Murter – Vransko Jezero Nature Park – Island of Pašman – Island of Ugljan – Zadar

Between 11:30 am and 1:00 pm embarkation in the port of Zadar. If you arrive in Zadar with your own car, you can drive to the port and directly to your ship from 8:00 am until 12:00 noon at the latest. Here you can unload your luggage. Our service team will help you to bring your luggage on board, which will first be left on deck until the cabins are ready for occupancy at 11:30 am. Then take your car to the parking garage reserved through I.D. Riva Tours and return to the port on foot. Our bicycles are already waiting for you in front of the ship. After you have chosen a bike and possibly taken it for a test spin, you will be greeted by our tour guide with a welcome drink and get to know the crew and fellow passengers. After a snack on board, it's "cast off" and set course for the island of Molat. After arriving in the fishing village of Molat, we cycle from the jetty to the village of Zapuntel and back to Molat. Afterwards we set sail again and head for the island of Zverinac. Dinner on board and overnight stay in Zverinac. 16.9 bike kilometres, ascent and descent 180 metres each.
If you book the cruise with (your own) flight arrival, we recommend that you arrive one day in advance and stay overnight in Zadar, as embarkation can only take place if the flight arrives at Zadar airport by 12:00 noon on Saturday. A transfer from Zadar to the island of Zverinac is not possible as there is no boat connection after 2:15 pm (May) or 3:00 pm (from June) (as of September 2023).

After breakfast we weigh anchor and set sail for Božava on the island of Dugi Otok. The island has its name "long island" not by chance - with a length of about 44 km it is often only a few hundred metres wide. We load the bikes from the deck and set off for the Veli Rat lighthouse, which marks the north-western end of the island. We then continue to Brbinj, where we have lunch on board. After lunch you can decide whether to continue by bike or by boat to Sali, the main and administrative town of the island of Dugi Otok. Opportunity for dinner in one of the restaurants and overnight stay. 29.6 resp. 25.4 bike kilometres, ascent and descent 430 resp. 370 metres respectively.

After breakfast, we cycle from Sali to the Telašćica Nature Park, an approximately 8 km deep bay in the south of the island. Here we take a walk past lush Mediterranean vegetation to the saltwater lake, which is connected to the sea underground. From here we also reach the cliffs, which are up to 161 m high and offer a breathtaking view of the sea. After returning to Sali, we set sail again and enjoy lunch on board. After a swim break, we set course for the National Park of the Kornati Islands and enjoy the tranquillity of the National Park, which consists of 125 mostly uninhabited, partly barren islands and islets. After a good four-hour drive we reach Šibenik. Guided tour of the lively old town, followed by dinner in one of Šibenik's restaurants and overnight on board. 18.1 km by bike, ascent and descent 270 m each.

After breakfast we head up the river Krka and moor in Skradin, just before the Krka waterfalls. We cycle to the "Skradinski Buk", at 800 m the longest and probably best known part of the waterfalls. It is an impressive natural spectacle, as here the Krka falls in 17 steps with cascades up to 100 m wide. After a stay in the area of the waterfalls, we cycle back to Skradin to have lunch on board. Afterwards, it is again up to you to decide whether you want to take the boat directly to the popular holiday resort of Vodice or cycle first to the approximately 100 m high Okit mountain and then to Vodice. Opportunity for dinner in Vodice and overnight stay. 8.9 or 34.2 kilometres by bike, ascents and descents 80 resp. 400 m each.

Today we first get to know a coastal strip with numerous offshore islets – from Vodice we cycle to Tribunj. The picturesque little town lies on an island connected to the mainland by a natural stone bridge. After a break we continue to Tisno, where we have a coffee break. In Tisno a lift bridge takes us to the island of Murter, and along the sea we cycle to Betina. Betina is a place with a long tradition of wooden shipbuilding and here we also have the opportunity to visit the museum of wooden shipbuilding. Our tour continues to Murter, where we have the opportunity to have lunch. Afterwards, it is only a few kilometres to Podvrške bay with a beautiful pebble beach, where our ship is already waiting for us. Dinner on board and overnight stay in the bay. 26.2 kilometres by bike, ascent and descent 180 m each.

After breakfast, the boat takes us to Biograd na moru in just over an hour, where we unload the bikes again. We cycle first to Pakoštane and then on to the ornithologically significant nature and bird reserve of Lake Vrana (Vransko jezero). In the village of Vrana we stop for lunch at the former caravanserai Maškovića Han, built in the 17th century when Vrana was under the rule of the Ottoman Empire. Maškovića Han is now a heritage hotel and restaurant, where we have the opportunity to have lunch. Afterwards, we head along Lake Vrana via Pakoštane back to Biograd. We set sail again and cross over to Tkon on the island of Pašman, only about 15 minutes away. Dinner on board and overnight stay in Tkon. 49.1 km by bike, ascent and descent 420 m each.

Today we cycle to two islands – Pašman and Ugljan. From Tkon we cycle via Pašman to the bridge that connects the two islands. At lunchtime we arrive in Preko, where we have lunch on board our boat before enjoying a last bathing break. We then cross over to nearby Zadar, where our guide will be waiting for you for a guided tour of the old town, which is situated on a peninsula and surrounded by mighty walls. Opportunity for dinner in one of the numerous restaurants and overnight stay in Zadar. 32.8 kilometres by bike, ascent and descent 190 m each.

After breakfast, disembarkation until 9:00 am.

The route may be changed due to local conditions and current weather conditions. It is therefore possible that lunch will be served on board instead of dinner or vice versa.

The route is also sometimes sailed in reverse order.
