Description
The impressive Cattunar family winery is located in the west of the Istrian peninsula near the small towns of Nova Vas and Brtonigla, not far from Novigrad, and looks back on a long tradition of winegrowing. In addition to autochthonous grape varieties such as Malvazija, Teran and Muškat, internationally renowned vines such as Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Sauvignon Blanc are cultivated on 56 hectares of land. The fertile soil and climatic conditions offer the best conditions for the production of outstanding wines, which have already won several international awards. In 2018, for example, the "Malvazija Collina 2015" produced here received the gold medal from Decanter in London. The new Wine Residence is surrounded by vineyards and olive groves and offers accommodation in eleven luxuriously furnished rooms and suites, not only for wine lovers, but also for all those who want to experience green Istria up close and actively. The advantageous secluded location of the residence offers an oasis of peace, while the lively coastal towns of Novigrad (5 km) and Poreč (25 km) are easily accessible by car.

Deluxe Suite: approx. 40-50 m², spacious and luxuriously furnished, each Deluxe Suite is uniquely designed and offers air conditioning, flat-screen TV, minibar, safe, WiFi Internet (free of charge), bathroom with shower and WC, as well as a terrace with a magnificent view of the vineyards.
Catering: Rich gourmet breakfast buffet with regional products included in the room rate.
Sport The surrounding area is ideal for jogging, hiking, horse riding and cycling. Aquapark Istralandia with its many water attractions is only 3 km away.
Beach: The nearest beach is in Novigrad and is approx. 5 km away.
Pets: Well-behaved dogs allowed on prior request (for a fee).
Wellness-Center: The modern wellness area with a unique view of the vineyards is open around the clock and offers a fitness room, Finnish sauna, infrared sauna, chromotherapy room with waterbed and Himalayan salt stones, as well as a whirlpool with a starry sky.

Novigrad - Istria
Novigrad is small holiday town situated on the west coast of Istria, on the delta of the river Mirna. The city developed originally on a small island and in the XVIII century was connected with the mainland. On this former island today is the town centre with its medieval structure. Over the centuries the name changed from the original Emona to Emonia and later to Neapolis and then finally to its present name Civitas Nova (new city). In parallel with the changes of name were changes in domination by the Byzantines, French, Venetians, Austrians and again the French until the arrival of the Italians.
