Entry Requirements & Travel Documents

The following information applies mainly to nationals of EU member states, as well as Switzerland, Norway and Iceland. In addition, for persons from third countries who hold a valid Schengen visa or a visa or residence permit for Bulgaria, Romania or Cyprus. All information relates to a stay of up to 30 days. For persons from third countries, the rules may differ for stays of more than 30 days.

Persons with dual citizenship and stateless persons should contact the embassy or consulate of the respective country of destination in the country of their residence.

No vaccinations are required on entry into Croatia, Montenegro, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Austria and Slovenia.

Nationals of EU member states, as well as Switzerland, Norway, Iceland and Liechtenstein require a valid identity card or passport to enter Croatia.

Persons from third countries who hold a valid Schengen visa or a visa for at least two entries or a residence permit for Bulgaria, Romania or Cyprus require a valid passport to enter Croatia.
