Skradin - Northern Dalmatia

Skradin is situated on the right side of the Krka River. Initially inhabited by the Illiri, it later was taken over by the Romans. Today it is a place where the locals live off agriculture and tourism. The preserved nature and the National Park Krka with its wonderful waterfalls are truly a unique place on earth. Don’t miss the opportunity to take a swim in the crystal clear water of the Krka River – to swim right below the falls is a very special and refreshing experience. Furthermore you should take a walk through the small centre, where you can find numerous market stalls offering different souvenirs and other stuff. They are located around the St. Maria church dating from the XVIII century.
