The Karmen rooms are located on the island of Veliki Brijun in the Brijuni National Park off the coast of Istria. The national park combines Mediterranean landscape with historical evidence and the recent past as the former summer residence of Yugoslavian head of state Josip Broz Tito. The car-free island can only be reached by ferry from Fažana and offers a natural and cultural setting. The Karmen Rooms offer simple accommodation with a focus on experiencing the island and the national park firsthand.
Facilities: Main restaurant "Neptun" in the Hotel Neptun with indoor seating and terrace, à la carte restaurant "Galija" with terrace at the Hotel Istra, elevator, TV room in the lobby, laundry service for a fee. WiFi internet available throughout the hotel (free of charge). Parking available at the port of Fažana (for a fee, June-September €15 per day, otherwise €12 per day). The ferry runs several times a day according to a seasonal schedule. National park fee and daily ferry crossing from Fažana to Veliki Brijun and back included.
54 rooms: spacious, telephone, WiFi internet (free of charge), hairdryer, bathroom with bathtub/WC. Baby cot available on request (free of charge).
Double room: approx. 30 m², facing the park, can also be booked facing the sea with a balcony.
Single room: approx. 20 m², facing the sea with balcony.
Apartment: approx. 50 m², bedroom with double bed, living room with sofa, two bathrooms, one with shower, the other with bathtub. Balcony facing the sea.
Meals: Extensive breakfast buffet, half board with evening buffet available at an extra charge.
Sport: A tennis court, 18-hole natural golf course, various hiking trails directly from the hotel. Bicycle and electric vehicle rental (for a fee).
Beach: The natural and peaceful Saluga Bay, surrounded by shady pine trees with deck chair rental and a bistro, bathing platforms, and pebble sections, is approximately 1.3 km away.
Pets: Dogs are allowed on request (for a fee of €20 per day).
