Mobile Homes & Tents

Your mobile home or tent is usually available from 2:00 pm on the day of arrival. In some resorts, especially in the high season, your accommodation may not be available until 4:00 or 5:00 pm. We apologise for this, but on some dates the number of arrivals and departures is so large that this time is needed to make your accommodation as clean and tidy as you expect it to be.

Together with your travel documents (booklet) you will receive detailed directions from Munich and Vienna directly to your holiday domicile. You will also find the GPS coordinates for your navigation device or smartphone app, as well as the exact address and phone number of the reception.

Mobile homes and tents must usually be vacated by 10:00 am on the day of departure, in some resorts by 12:00 noon.

Please note that various facilities listed in the descriptions are not always available, especially in the early and late season.

Most of the facilities, such as cafés, souvenir shops or hairdressing salons, are contracted out to private entrepreneurs, so they are not part of the operating company. Some operators, for example, do not open their beauty salon until June or close it because it is unprofitable. Others may convert a hairdressing salon into a souvenir shop. It is therefore possible that some facilities may not be available in the upcoming season or that new ones may be added.

Indoor swimming pools are sometimes closed in July and August, outdoor swimming pools are usually not heated.

In many camping resorts parasols and deckchairs at the swimming pool are already included in the price. However, as these are only available in limited numbers, there is basically no entitlement to actually receive parasols and deckchairs. Parasols and deck chairs at the beach are always subject to a fee, unless otherwise stated in the property description.

The furnishings meet Mediterranean standards: kitchen or kitchenette with 2-4 electric or gas cooking units (an oven is usually not available), refrigerator (no freezer), pots and pans, crockery, glasses and cutlery adapted to the number of people. Electrical appliances such as toasters or mixers are usually not available, and partly no filter coffee machines.

In some mobile homes and tents, towels and bed linen are not provided and must either be brought or can be rented (see descriptions, payable on site).

The prices quoted generally include: the rent of the mobile home or tent, electricity, gas and water consumption, final cleaning, and tour guide in the holiday area. In some resorts, the tourist tax and/or registration fee is also shown separately and must be paid together with the rental price. For any deviations, please refer to the corresponding property descriptions.

On some campsites, the registration fee and tourist tax are already included in the rental price of the mobile homes and tents, or are payable together with the rental price, but often only payable on site. Some service providers also require a deposit to be paid on arrival. Bed linen and towels must be brought to some campsites or can be rented on site.

Please make sure you follow the information and instructions in the property descriptions, which describe exactly what has to be paid for on site.

While the use of outdoor and indoor swimming pools and fitness rooms is usually included in the price of the package, most other services are subject to charges and must be paid for on site. This applies in particular to the use of saunas, massages, wellness offers, beauty treatments, baby cots, parking lots and pets – even if this is not explicitly mentioned in the description.

Unless otherwise stated in the respective descriptions, all sports offers are subject to a fee and must be paid on site. Sports offers are almost exclusively in the hands of private entrepreneurs and usually have nothing to do with the holiday or camping resorts. Sports listed in the descriptions were offered in the previous season – as a tour operator we have no influence whatsoever that this will also be the case in the coming (current) season. Also, various sports are sometimes not available in the early and late seasons.

If you are booking a particular holiday or camping resort primarily because of a particular facility (e.g. diving school), we recommend that you make sure that the facility is actually available or in operation before booking or starting your trip.

Animation programmes are usually only carried out when the number of guests is correspondingly high (i.e. from the end of May or beginning of June to September), in some holiday and camping resorts only during the school holiday period (July/August).

Car parks of holiday and camping resorts are only guarded if it is explicitly mentioned in the description. “Guarded” does not mean that the car parks are permanently guarded, but that a guard (usually from a private security company) patrols the holiday or camping resort at night, including the car parks. However, the vehicles parked there are in no way insured against burglary, theft or damage, although some resorts charge parking fees. Neither the hotel companies nor I.D. Riva Tours can be held liable for any damage (in this context we also refer to the usual liability rules in car parks e.g. in Germany or Austria). It is also possible that parking lots designated in the description as not subject to charges may be subject to charges at the beginning of the new season. In some resorts the number of parking lots is limited – i.e. there is no right to actually get a parking space directly at the holiday accommodation. It is not possible to reserve parking lots in advance, unless otherwise stated.

In which accommodations dogs are allowed, you can find out from the corresponding object descriptions. Here you will also find the corresponding fees, if applicable, which are to be paid on site.

This information is based on the information provided by the operating companies – even if pets are not allowed in a particular property, it may still be possible that dogs or cats are present.

Please note that dogs are generally not allowed in restaurants. Dogs are also not allowed on many beaches.

For pets (dogs and cats), the same conditions apply for entry into Croatia as for travel within other EU countries with regard to identification by microchip in conjunction with a valid international health card with vaccination certificate, especially rabies vaccination.

I.D. Riva Tours has a network of its own representatives in almost all places that will look after you during your stay in the resorts. You will find the office hours of the representatives on the Riva information board or in our information folder at the reception of your holiday resort.

In some places, as well as on some islands, you will be attended to by our regional service offices by phone. You will receive the relevant phone numbers, as well as mobile phone numbers, which can be reached around the clock for emergencies, with the travel documents.

Please remember that you are spending your holiday in a Mediterranean country, because in the summer, life takes place mainly in the evenings outside. Live music is played on the terraces, open-air discos open their doors late in the evening and in some places people celebrate spontaneously and exuberantly – this is exactly what makes up the Mediterranean joie de vivre. If you are looking for absolute peace and quiet during your holiday, you should make sure that your desired destination is explicitly described as quiet.

Please remember that you are travelling to a Mediterranean country where there are (also) other vermin than in your country. Ants, grasshoppers, mosquitoes and flies are part of everyday life here and pose no danger to healthy people. These include scorpions, whose stings are much rarer and usually less dangerous than those of wasps. They should never be confused with their tropical conspecifics.

To combat mosquitoes, we recommend (especially in the middle of summer) that you take a “mosquito plug” with you, which expels the unpleasant little animals with tablets or liquid based on plant substances that are non-toxic to humans. For evening stays outdoors, we recommend body sprays such as “Autan” or rubbing your legs and arms with self-mixed products based on e.g. apple vinegar or vodka with boiled or distilled water and essential oils (citronella, lavender).

Any local, hotel and house brochures and websites that are not operated by I.D. Riva Tours and that may be consulted during or prior to booking are not binding and do not form part of the contract. The same applies to verbal or telephone collateral agreements or assurances. Only the information on this website or in the travel confirmation is valid.

The information on this website is constantly updated. We reserve the right to correct errors.

The number of persons (maximum occupancy) of the booked mobile homes or tents indicated on this website may not be exceeded. This does not apply to infants under two years of age, who must however be registered at the time of booking. Should more people arrive than have been booked and confirmed, the service provider may refuse access to the accommodation or demand a supplement to be paid to him at his discretion.

Special requests, such as a specific mobile home or tent, adjacent mobile homes or tents etc. will be forwarded by us to the service providers. Together with the service providers, we will try to take such wishes into account as far as possible, but they will not become part of the travel contract.

In the case of short-term bookings or booking requests that exceed our contingent, so-called “requests” often have to be addressed to the hotel company. The response time is generally 24 to 48 hours. These enquiries are made exclusively on the basis of a binding booking, i.e. if the enquiry is answered positively or confirmed by the hotel company, your booking automatically becomes a firm booking. Cancellations of such bookings by the customer (even before receipt of the hotel company’s confirmation) are made exclusively on the basis of our terms and conditions.

The majority of holiday and camping resorts are not suitable for people with reduced mobility. However, depending on the degree of mobility impairment, some resorts may be suitable for people who are not wheelchair-bound. In this case, please contact us for detailed information.

Mobile homes and tents are generally not suitable for people who are dependent on a wheelchair.

Travel insurance is not compulsory, however we strongly recommend that you have cover for your own peace of mind and security. Emergency medical coverage is most important. Insurance policies vary, so read the fine print carefully to see exactly what is covered, or ask your travel agent for advice.
