Bus Travel

Routing and changes depend on your point of departure, the destination in Croatia and the number of passengers. If you select your departure point in the menu above, you will see the expected route and possible changes.

Depending on the number of passengers, it may be possible to change buses at a different location on individual dates or an additional change may be necessary.

We ask for your understanding for any necessary changes, without which we could not guarantee the execution of our bus tours.

In the information about your place of departure (see menu above) we distinguish between “main bus” and “transfer”.

“Main bus” means that the bus passes through to Croatia from your point of departure. However, if the “main bus” is going to Istria, for example, but you are going to the Kvarner Bay or Dalmatia, there will be a transfer to the corresponding “main bus” in Nuremberg or Munich.

“Transfer” means that due to low passenger volume, a transfer will be made from your point of departure by minibus or car.

Depending on the number of passengers, it may be possible to change buses at a different location on individual dates or an additional change may be necessary.

We ask for your understanding for any necessary changes, without which we could not guarantee the execution of our bus tours.

The exact return time on Saturday will be given to you on Friday by your representative in the holiday domicile or, in the case of cruises on the ship, on arrival at the port of disembarkation. You can find the estimated return time for your home town by selecting your departure point in the menu above.

Istria: The estimated departure time in Poreč is 8:00 pm, in Novigrad 8:30 pm and in Umag 9:00 pm. The departure of transfers from other resorts in Istria to Poreč will be earlier accordingly.

Kvarner Bay: The scheduled departure time in Opatija is 8:45 pm, at the “Vrata Jadrana” rest stop near Rijeka at 9:15 pm. Transfers from other resorts in the Kvarner Bay and from the islands to Opatija and the rest stop will depart earlier. For cruise guests, the transfer from the port of Rijeka to Opatija will take place around 10:00 am. Here we have a room in a hotel for luggage storage while you have the day off, e.g. for a stay on the beach.

Dalmatia (Zadar): The transfer from Zadar to the motorway is scheduled for around 4:00 pm, from the other resorts in Northern Dalmatia correspondingly earlier. Change to the bus in the direction of Rijeka. At 9:15 pm at the motorway rest stop “Vrata Jadrana” near Rijeka change to the bus in the direction of Austria and Germany. We take care of the luggage of our cruise guests in Zadar from the time of disembarkation at 9:00 am until the departure of the transfer, while you can enjoy a stroll through the city or a stay on the beach.

Dalmatia (Trogir): The scheduled departure time in Trogir is 2:00 pm, from the other resorts in central Dalmatia correspondingly earlier. We take care of the luggage of our cruise guests in Trogir from the time of disembarkation at 9:00 am until the departure of the bus, while you can enjoy a stroll through the city or a stay on the beach. At 9:15 pm at the rest stop “Vrata Jadrana” near Rijeka we change to the bus in the direction of Austria and Germany.

Any further changes are basically the same as the outward journey. Depending on the number of passengers, it may be possible to change buses at a different location on individual dates or an additional change may be necessary.

I.D. Riva Tours guarantees the organisation of all bus tours from the beginning to the end of the season, from all departure points and to all destinations. We therefore ask for your understanding for any necessary changes, without which we could not guarantee the execution of our bus tours.

Buses of renowned bus companies are used, which are equipped with “I.D. Riva Tours” signs.

• The buses used are at least four-star category****, i.e. they are equipped with air conditioning, WC, adjustable seat backs and footrests.
• In the event of low passenger numbers from individual departure points, it is possible that minibuses or cars not equipped with toilets etc. will be used until the first point of change. The same applies to final routes in the holiday region.
• Please arrive at the departure point at least 20 minutes before the departure time.
• We kindly ask you to arrive exclusively at the departure point you have booked, as not all departure points are always served, depending on the booking situation.
• All travel times are based on many years of experience and are amply calculated. Nevertheless, it may happen that your bus is delayed due to increased traffic or traffic jams.
• Smoking is not allowed in the bus or transfer vehicle, but sufficient breaks are made.
• In exceptional cases there may be changes in routing, changes, transfers and departure times.

Please note that for combined trips (e.g. two different hotels or cruise + hotel) an intermediate transfer from the first to the second accommodation may have to be booked – the price for this intermediate transfer is available on request.
